About the role.
This role involves designing, developing, and optimizing high-quality software solutions that drive critical business and platform capabilities. As a Lead Software Engineer, you will act as a subject matter expert, guiding technical direction and ensuring the delivery of scalable, secure, and maintainable code. You will collaborate across functions to define requirements and implement innovative solutions that align with strategic business objectives.
What you will do.
- Design and deliver high-quality software solutions using industry-standard programming languages and frameworks.
- Ensure code scalability, maintainability, and performance optimization through rigorous engineering practices.
- Collaborate with product managers, designers, and cross-functional teams to define requirements and ensure seamless integration.
- Promote a culture of technical excellence through code reviews, knowledge sharing, and mentorship of less experienced engineers.
- Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
- Implement effective unit testing strategies to ensure code reliability and readability.
- Provide strategic technical leadership, contributing to policy planning, resource management, and process improvements.
- Manage and mitigate technical risks through assessment and governance in alignment with organizational goals.
- Advise senior stakeholders on functional impacts and cross-functional alignment.
What you bring.
- 8+ years of experience in Site Reliability Engineering (SRE) or related software engineering roles.
- Proficiency in Python, REST APIs, and FastAPI.
- Strong experience with observability and monitoring tools such as Elastic, Splunk, DX NetOps, or NetBrain.
- Solid background in DevOps practices including Ansible, Terraform, Git, and CI/CD pipelines.
- Fundamental understanding of networking concepts.
- Experience with containerization technologies like Kubernetes or Docker is a plus.
- Familiarity with Kafka and network automation is highly desirable.
- Proven ability to lead complex, multi-year technical assignments and guide team members.
