About the role.
This role focuses on ensuring the quality and smooth delivery of a leading SaaS creative software suite used by millions of users. The Quality Engineer will define and execute comprehensive test plans and strategies, partnering closely with QE leads and development teams to deliver high-quality product features. The position offers strong ownership of end-to-end testing and a clear path to growing technical expertise.
What you will do.
- Review, define and execute test plans, test cases and strategies for the overall desktop product team
- Execute test scenarios in a timely manner and proactively flag delays, blockers and issues to QE leads and owners
- Design and test from a customer viewpoint, advocating for a strong product experience
- Work closely with QE leads and development teams to deliver key product features
- Take complete ownership of end-to-end testing and delivery of assigned features
- Identify functional and non-functional test scenarios through exploratory and critical thinking
- Triage raised defects and prepare consolidated defect reports
- Develop and maintain acceptance test cases, regression test suites and related testing documents
- Identify process gaps and suggest improvements to strengthen product quality
- Contribute to growing the technical knowledge and expertise of the team
What you bring.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree (B.Tech/MCA/BCA/M.Tech) in Computer Science or a related field, or equivalent experience
- 2-3 years of experience in software testing and quality engineering
- Strong proficiency in Python or another scripting language
- Experience with REST-based web services
- Hands-on experience in desktop and web application testing
- Working knowledge of Agile/Scrum methodology; experience in an agile environment is strongly desired
- Strong problem-solving, decision-making and attention to detail
- Meticulous, process-oriented approach with strong follow-up skills
- Excellent communication skills
- Product-based testing experience is an added advantage
