About the role.
We are seeking an experienced professional to lead a Bond and CDS Middle Office function covering Asia, with flexibility to support global operations. The role combines hands-on operational expertise with leadership responsibilities, including trade lifecycle oversight, control framework design and risk assessment across multiple asset classes. The successful candidate will mentor junior analysts, drive process improvement and manage offshore delegation to deliver operational excellence.
What you will do.
- Perform trade validation and reconciliation across Bonds, Equity, CDS, CDS Index, IRS and Convertible Bonds
- Own trade lifecycle management from inception through settlement, including quality assurance and escalation of complex or high-risk trades
- Oversee reporting and analytics deliverables, including options expiry, activity reports, broker checks, bond maturity reporting and structured repo margining reports
- Monitor risk and control metrics, including TLM reconciliation, Data Quality Engine, gateway monitoring and KRI analysis, and lead red flag investigations
- Manage settlements and static data processes, including syndicate pre-settlement checks, bond setup and valuation fails investigation
- Develop and enhance middle office control frameworks to improve accuracy and reduce manual effort
- Mentor and coach junior analysts on technical skills and best practices
- Manage offshore delegation and coordinate with operations and trading teams on settlement issues
- Communicate with stakeholders on control breaches and drive escalation management
What you bring.
- 4 to 10 years of experience in banking or financial services middle office operations
- Strong hands-on knowledge of trade lifecycle management and reconciliation across fixed income, equity and derivatives products
- Working understanding of bonds, CDS, CDS Index, IRS and convertible bonds
- Experience with control frameworks, risk assessment and KRI monitoring
- Proven ability to mentor junior team members and manage delegated work
- Experience in process optimisation and reporting quality oversight
- Strong stakeholder communication and escalation management skills
- Ability to work in a hybrid model based in Mumbai
