About the role.
This role involves leading the support and optimization of critical trading systems within a fast-paced banking environment. You will oversee incident management, release cycles, and the automation of support processes to ensure seamless operations for cash equities trading. The position requires a blend of technical expertise and leadership to drive system stability and efficiency.
What you will do.
- Lead the support and maintenance of complex trading systems to ensure high availability and performance.
- Manage incident and outage resolution processes, ensuring minimal disruption to trading activities.
- Oversee release management cycles for trading platform updates and patches.
- Drive the automation of support processes to improve operational efficiency and reduce manual intervention.
- Collaborate with global teams to troubleshoot and resolve technical issues related to FIX connectivity and system performance.
- Utilize AI tools such as Co-Pilot and Claude to enhance support workflows and documentation.
- Provide technical leadership and mentorship to junior team members within the support function.
What you bring.
- 10–15 years of experience in trading system support within the financial services industry.
- Deep knowledge of cash equities markets and associated trading workflows.
- Strong proficiency in Unix environments and Python scripting for automation.
- Hands-on experience with FIX protocol support and troubleshooting.
- Technical competency in Java and SQL for system analysis and data extraction.
- Proven track record in incident and outage management within high-pressure environments.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to interface effectively with stakeholders.
- Experience leveraging AI-driven tools to optimize technical support operations.
