About the role.
The Business Analyst will act as the bridge between business stakeholders and delivery teams, eliciting, analysing and documenting requirements for banking and financial services initiatives. The role centres on turning risk and business needs into clear, testable delivery scope using agile practices. Strong analytical skills, process understanding and a working knowledge of Python scripting are key to success in this position. This is a Work From Office role based across Mumbai / Chennai / Pune / Gurugram.
What you will do.
- Elicit, analyse and document business and functional requirements from stakeholders across the organisation
- Create process maps and current-state and future-state workflows to identify gaps and improvement opportunities
- Write user stories and well-defined acceptance criteria that enable testable delivery scope
- Translate business and risk requirements into structured, prioritised backlog items
- Manage stakeholder relationships, facilitate discussions and drive alignment on scope and priorities
- Use JIRA to manage backlogs, track requirements and support agile delivery ceremonies
- Perform SQL-based data analysis to validate requirements and support decision making
- Apply basic Python scripting to automate analysis tasks and support data validation
- Prepare clear documentation, including requirement specifications, process artefacts and delivery reports
What you bring.
- 10-12 years of experience as a Business Analyst within banking or financial services
- Strong business analysis skills including requirements elicitation and process mapping
- Hands-on experience writing user stories and acceptance criteria in an agile environment
- Basic working knowledge of Python scripting
- Proficiency in SQL and data analysis
- Experience using JIRA for backlog and requirement management
- Strong stakeholder management and communication skills
- Mandatory domain knowledge of global markets and regulatory risk frameworks such as FRTB, CCAR, CCR and VaR
- Ability to translate risk and business requirements into testable delivery scope
