About the role.
We are seeking a Lead Research Analyst to join a dynamic team in Hyderabad. This role is pivotal in transforming complex data into actionable insights, primarily through advanced Power BI visualizations and robust data modeling. The successful candidate will be instrumental in supporting critical business functions by developing and maintaining sophisticated data solutions. You will collaborate closely with various stakeholders to gather requirements and translate them into effective analytical designs.
What you will do.
- Leverage Power BI for advanced data visualization and data modeling to create impactful reports
- Develop and maintain strong backend SQL skills for database development supporting Power BI reporting
- Gather and analyze business requirements from both technical and non-technical stakeholders
- Engage with cross-functional teams to understand user needs and translate them into actionable analytics designs
- Create intuitive and interactive Power BI dashboards and reports to enhance decision-making
- Partner with Segment Data Teams and Finance Teams to align on platform usage, cost allocation, and optimization
- Respond to user inquiries related to optimization initiatives, cost insights, and platform best practices
- Host weekly Azure Data Lake meetings, providing updates on platform cost reports and optimization projects
- Prepare monthly service-level cost breakdown analysis and drive global data team communications
What you bring.
- 10–16 years of experience in Data & Analytics, with a strong focus on Power BI
- Proven expertise in Power BI for data visualization and data modeling
- Strong backend skills in SQL and database development
- Demonstrated ability to gather and analyze business requirements from diverse stakeholders
- Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams to translate needs into analytics designs
- Expertise in creating intuitive and interactive Power BI dashboards and reports
- Financial analysis background is highly desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills for stakeholder engagement
