About the role.
This role is for a Senior Snowflake Data Engineer responsible for designing, building, and optimizing scalable cloud-based data platforms and enterprise pipelines. You will lead data engineering initiatives, implement modern ELT frameworks, and collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver high-performance, analytics-ready data assets.
What you will do.
- Design and implement scalable data warehouse solutions using Snowflake.
- Build and manage Snowflake databases, schemas, tables, views, streams, and tasks.
- Develop and maintain enterprise-grade ETL/ELT pipelines for batch and near real-time processing.
- Implement Snowflake security, RBAC, masking policies, and data governance controls.
- Optimize Snowflake workloads for performance, cost efficiency, and query execution.
- Design complex data models including Star Schema, Snowflake Schema, and Data Vault.
- Mentor junior and mid-level data engineers while driving engineering best practices.
- Collaborate with architects and business stakeholders to support data migration and modernization initiatives.
What you bring.
- 6–8 years of overall IT experience with at least 3 years of hands-on Snowflake development.
- Strong expertise in Snowflake Streams, Tasks, and Snowpipe.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for data transformation and pipeline development.
- Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform.
- Solid understanding of data modeling techniques and modern ELT frameworks.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Experience with orchestration tools like Airflow or Azure Data Factory.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to lead technical design reviews.
