About the role.
This role involves leading the architecture for enterprise-scale data and AI programs within the Google Cloud ecosystem. You will be responsible for designing scalable, secure solutions across data engineering, analytics, and AI layers while managing commercial aspects like effort estimation and financial modeling. As a key technical leader, you will advise clients and delivery teams to ensure successful project outcomes.
What you will do.
- Lead the end-to-end architecture design for enterprise data and AI programs on Google Cloud Platform.
- Define scalable and secure architectures covering data engineering, analytics, AI, governance, and presentation layers.
- Perform effort estimation, define delivery models, and prepare optimized financial bills of quantities for services and tools.
- Translate complex business and delivery requirements into robust technical designs within the Google ecosystem.
- Define and communicate architecture decisions, technical dependencies, and implementation trade-offs to stakeholders.
- Lead client workshops and solution discussions, providing clear technical rationale for proposed designs.
- Provide technical mentorship and guidance to delivery teams to ensure high-quality implementation.
What you bring.
- 8–12 years of professional experience in data and AI architecture.
- Engineering degree or higher qualification.
- Deep technical expertise in Google Cloud Platform services including BigQuery, Dataflow, Dataproc, Vertex AI, Composer, and Gemini.
- Proficiency in data governance and security frameworks.
- Experience with Looker, Databricks, and Dataplex.
- Strong commercial acumen with experience in financial modeling and cost estimation for technical projects.
- Proven ability in client-facing delivery and stakeholder management.
- Relevant platform or technology certifications are highly advantageous.
