About the role.
The Junior Billing and Costing Engineer will support the commercial and cost management of electrical and allied works on aviation projects based in Ahmedabad. The role covers contractor billing, quantity verification, cost control and contract administration, ensuring accurate and timely financial reporting. The successful candidate will work closely with project, technical and commercial teams in a work-from-office setting.
What you will do.
- Review and verify contractor bills against measured quantities and contract rates
- Prepare quantity verification and measurement certifications for billed works
- Review Bills of Quantities (BOQ) and perform rate analysis and cost estimation
- Monitor project budgets and support cost forecasting and cost control activities
- Support variations, change orders and claims with supporting commercial documentation
- Coordinate with contractors, project teams and stakeholders on billing and payment certification
- Maintain contract administration records and prepare commercial reports
- Use advanced MS Excel and commercial management tools for analysis and reporting
What you bring.
- Diploma or degree in Electrical Engineering or a related discipline
- Foundational experience in billing, quantity surveying or cost control, preferably on electrical works
- Working knowledge of BOQ review, rate analysis and cost estimation
- Familiarity with contractor billing, payment certification and contract administration
- Advanced proficiency in MS Excel and commercial management tools
- Strong analytical, numerical and problem-solving skills
- Good stakeholder coordination and documentation management abilities
- Willingness to work from office in Ahmedabad
