About the role.
As a Test Engineer, you will design and execute comprehensive testing strategies to ensure the quality, reliability, and performance of critical banking software. You will work within an Agile environment to bridge the gap between development and quality assurance, utilizing advanced automation frameworks to deliver robust digital solutions. This role offers the opportunity to influence technical decision-making and contribute to the evolution of complex payment and card processing systems.
What you will do.
- Develop and implement comprehensive test plans and strategies to validate software functionality and compliance.
- Create and execute automated test scripts using modern frameworks to facilitate early defect detection.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze requirements and define clear acceptance criteria.
- Perform root cause analysis for identified defects and work closely with developers to ensure timely resolution.
- Participate in code reviews and promote a culture of high-quality code and knowledge sharing.
- Stay informed of industry technology trends and contribute to technical communities within the organization.
- Take ownership of managing risk and strengthening controls related to testing activities.
- Guide and support team members to foster professional development and operational excellence.
What you bring.
- 4–8 years of professional experience in software testing within an Agile environment.
- Strong proficiency in both Manual and Automation testing methodologies.
- Hands-on experience with UI and API testing, including Microservices testing.
- Expertise in test automation tools and frameworks such as Selenium with Java, WebDriver, Cucumber, Karate, Playwright, or Cypress.
- Solid understanding of BDD (Behavior Driven Development) practices.
- Prior experience in the Cards or Payments domain is highly preferred.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills.
- Ability to work in a hybrid model based in Pune.
