About the role.
This role is based in mumbai and focuses on the administration and oversight of General Ledger functions. You will be responsible for ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial records, supporting month-end closing processes, and maintaining compliance with internal and regulatory standards. This is a hybrid position that requires strong analytical skills and a deep understanding of accounting principles.
What you will do.
- Perform daily General Ledger accounting activities and ensure timely reconciliation of accounts.
- Support the month-end, quarter-end, and year-end financial closing processes.
- Prepare and review journal entries in accordance with accounting standards.
- Conduct variance analysis and investigate discrepancies in financial data.
- Ensure compliance with internal financial controls and regulatory reporting requirements.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to resolve accounting issues and improve process efficiency.
- Maintain accurate documentation for audit purposes and support internal/external audit requests.
What you bring.
- Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field.
- Professional accounting qualification (CA, CPA, ACCA, or equivalent) is preferred.
- Proven experience in General Ledger accounting within the financial services industry.
- Strong proficiency in accounting software and Microsoft Excel.
- Excellent analytical skills with a high attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid environment.
- Strong communication skills and the ability to work collaboratively in a team.
