About the role.
We are seeking a detail-oriented professional to join our audit and compliance team, focusing on SOX testing and IT General Controls (ITAC). You will play a critical role in evaluating the design and operating effectiveness of IT controls to ensure regulatory compliance and mitigate financial reporting risks. This position offers the opportunity to work in a hybrid environment, collaborating with stakeholders to maintain high standards of internal control.
What you will do.
- Execute SOX testing procedures for IT General Controls including access management, change management, and computer operations.
- Document testing results, identify control deficiencies, and collaborate with process owners to develop effective remediation plans.
- Perform walkthroughs of IT processes to assess the adequacy of internal controls over financial reporting.
- Assist in the preparation of audit reports and status updates for senior management and external auditors.
- Monitor the status of open audit issues and track progress toward timely resolution.
- Evaluate segregation of duties and privileged access management within complex technical environments.
What you bring.
- Minimum of 3-5 years of experience in IT audit, SOX compliance, or internal controls.
- Strong understanding of COBIT, NIST, or ISO 27001 frameworks.
- Proven experience in testing ITAC and automated application controls.
- Excellent analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex technical environments.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills for stakeholder management.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Accounting, or a related field.
- Professional certifications such as CISA, CIA, or CISM are highly preferred.
