About the role.
The Senior Associate - Internal Audit (Issue Validation) will validate audit findings and remediation actions across investment banking and wealth management businesses. The role involves close work with global audit teams on high-impact control and risk matters. It offers exposure to institutional securities, treasury and front office processes within a major financial services environment.
What you will do.
- Validate audit issues and confirm the accuracy, root cause and risk rating of findings raised by Internal Audit.
- Assess evidence supporting management remediation and closure of audit issues against agreed timelines.
- Review controls across institutional securities, treasury and front office processes, including the trade life cycle.
- Partner with business and control owners to clarify findings and drive timely resolution.
- Prepare clear, concise validation documentation and status reporting for senior stakeholders.
What you bring.
- 3-7 years of experience in internal audit, risk, or control roles within investment banking or financial services.
- Working knowledge of capital markets, derivatives and fixed income products.
- Understanding of institutional broking, trade life cycle and front office operations.
- Exposure to working with global banks within an Internal Audit department.
- Strong analytical, documentation and communication skills.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Accounting, Commerce, Economics or a related discipline; a professional qualification such as CA, CFA or CIA is an advantage.
- Nice to have: experience in wealth management or finance control functions and familiarity with audit issue management tools and EMEA-facing stakeholder engagement.
