About the role.
This role involves contributing to the independent price verification (IPV) process, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of financial instrument valuations. The successful candidate will play a crucial part in risk management and financial reporting, working with complex financial products. What you will do.
- Perform independent price verification across a range of financial products and asset classes
- Analyze market data and valuation models to assess pricing accuracy
- Identify and investigate valuation discrepancies and potential risks
- Collaborate with front office, risk management, and finance teams
- Prepare detailed reports and documentation of IPV results
- Contribute to the enhancement of valuation methodologies and processes
- Stay updated on market trends, regulatory changes, and industry best practices
What you bring.
- Bachelor's degree in Finance, Economics, Mathematics, or a related quantitative field
- Proven experience in independent price verification, product control, or a similar valuation-focused role within financial services
- Strong understanding of financial instruments, derivatives, and valuation techniques
- Proficiency in data analysis tools and financial modeling software (e.g., Excel, VBA, Python)
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, deadline-driven environment
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- CFA or FRM certification is a plus
