About the role.
The General Manager of Engineering and Capital Projects will provide strategic leadership for all engineering operations, asset reliability, and large-scale capital investments. This role is pivotal in driving the modernization of manufacturing processes through automation, IoT, and Industry 4.0 initiatives. You will oversee utility management and ensure the seamless execution of complex projects to support the company's long-term growth objectives.
What you will do.
- Lead and oversee all engineering functions, including maintenance, utilities, and capital project execution.
- Develop and implement strategies to enhance asset reliability and overall equipment effectiveness.
- Manage the end-to-end lifecycle of capital projects, ensuring they are delivered on time and within budget.
- Drive the adoption of Industry 4.0, 5.0, and IoT technologies to optimize manufacturing efficiency.
- Oversee automation and robotics integration to streamline production workflows.
- Ensure rigorous energy management practices to improve sustainability and reduce operational costs.
- Manage departmental budgets and resource allocation to support organizational goals.
- Foster a culture of safety and compliance across all engineering and maintenance operations.
What you bring.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Engineering or a related field.
- Extensive experience in maintenance engineering and capital project management within a process manufacturing environment.
- Proven expertise in BOPET/BOPP film extrusion processes.
- Strong proficiency in TPM methodologies and SAP PM/MM modules.
- Demonstrated success in implementing automation, robotics, and IoT solutions.
- PMP Certification is highly preferred.
- Strong leadership skills with the ability to manage cross-functional teams in a work-from-office environment.
- Excellent analytical and problem-solving capabilities with a focus on operational excellence.
