About the role.
This role focuses on designing, developing and maintaining the server-side architecture of Adobe Experience Manager (AEM) solutions across Sites, Assets and Forms. You will build custom components, Sling Models, OSGi services and workflows, and integrate AEM with Adobe Experience Platform and third-party systems. You will also optimise performance, scalability and security while partnering with DevOps on CI/CD and cloud deployments.
What you will do.
- Develop custom AEM components, Sling Models, Servlets and OSGi services
- Build and maintain workflows, business logic and backend services
- Manage content structures, repository configurations and multi-site/multilingual deployments
- Integrate AEM with Adobe Experience Platform, Adobe Analytics, Adobe Target, CRM platforms, DAM solutions and third-party APIs
- Develop REST and GraphQL integrations
- Configure and optimise JCR, Oak indexes, Dispatcher, caching and content replication
- Support AEM Managed Services and AEM as a Cloud Service deployments
- Partner with DevOps teams on CI/CD pipelines, Cloud Manager deployments and environment management
- Troubleshoot production issues and perform root-cause analysis
What you bring.
- 3-5 years of backend development experience, with hands-on AEM development experience
- Strong proficiency in Java, Sling Framework, OSGi, JCR, Maven and REST APIs
- Experience with Sling Models, Servlets, OSGi Services, workflow customisations, event handlers and scheduler jobs
- Solid understanding of AEM architecture, Dispatcher, content repositories, replication, package management and MSM
- Experience with Git, Jenkins/GitHub Actions, Cloud Manager and CI/CD automation
- Preferred: experience with AEM as a Cloud Service and Adobe Experience Platform (AEP)
- Preferred: knowledge of Adobe Forms, Assets, headless AEM and GraphQL APIs
- Preferred: Adobe Certified Expert - AEM Developer or Architect
