This leadership role focuses on overseeing insurance risk and technology controls within a complex financial environment. You will lead a team of professionals to ensure the integrity of risk management processes and technology infrastructure. The position requires a strategic mindset to navigate global regulatory landscapes and manage distributed teams effectively.
What you will do.
- Lead and mentor a team of 5-10 professionals, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
- Oversee the implementation and monitoring of technology controls to mitigate insurance-related risks.
- Manage cross-functional relationships with global stakeholders to ensure alignment on risk management strategies.
- Drive the development and execution of risk frameworks that adhere to international banking standards.
- Provide strategic oversight for technology-driven risk assessments and reporting processes.
- Ensure operational resilience by identifying and addressing potential vulnerabilities in the technology stack.
- Collaborate with global teams to standardize risk management practices across different jurisdictions.
What you bring.
- 12–17 years of professional experience in risk management, specifically within the insurance or financial services sector.
- Proven track record in a leadership capacity, managing teams of 5-10 members.
- Experience in managing globally distributed teams is highly preferred.
- Strong understanding of technology controls and their application in a banking or insurance context.
- Ability to work in a hybrid model with flexibility to align with US business hours, typically 12 PM–9 PM.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills to navigate complex organizational structures.
- Demonstrated ability to lead strategic initiatives and drive operational efficiency.
