About the role.
We are seeking a detail-oriented QA Automation Engineer with Japanese language proficiency to join our dynamic engineering team in Mumbai. In this role, you will bridge the gap between technical quality assurance and cross-border communication, ensuring our software products meet global standards while collaborating effectively with our Japanese stakeholders.
What you will do.
- Design, develop, and maintain robust automated test scripts to ensure high-quality software delivery.
- Execute comprehensive test plans, including functional, regression, and performance testing.
- Act as a primary point of contact for technical communication with Japanese clients, translating requirements and reporting defects accurately.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify, document, and track software bugs through to resolution.
- Participate in agile ceremonies and contribute to continuous improvement of the QA lifecycle.
- Maintain clear documentation of test results and communicate status updates to stakeholders in both English and Japanese.
What you bring.
- Proven experience in QA automation using tools such as Selenium, Appium, or Playwright.
- Proficiency in programming languages like Java, Python, or JavaScript.
- Mandatory: Valid JLPT certification (N5, N4, N3, N2, or N1).
- Strong understanding of software testing methodologies, SDLC, and STLC.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills in both English and Japanese.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines such as Jenkins, GitLab CI, or GitHub Actions is a plus.
- Familiarity with API testing tools like Postman or RestAssured.
- Relevant certifications in software testing such as ISTQB are considered a plus.
