About the role.

The AI Governance Specialist will play a pivotal role in establishing and maintaining robust frameworks for the ethical and compliant deployment of artificial intelligence. You will oversee the end-to-end AI lifecycle, ensuring that all models and automated systems align with global regulatory standards and internal risk management policies. This position is essential for driving transparency, accountability, and safety in the organization's evolving technological landscape.

What you will do.

  • Develop and implement comprehensive AI governance frameworks and policies across the organization.
  • Monitor and ensure compliance with global AI regulatory requirements, including the EU AI Act and regional financial guidelines.
  • Conduct rigorous risk assessments for AI and machine learning models throughout their lifecycle.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to integrate governance controls into AI development workflows.
  • Maintain documentation and reporting for AI model performance, bias mitigation, and ethical considerations.
  • Provide expert guidance on the application of ISO/IEC 42001 and NIST AI Risk Management Frameworks.
  • Utilize governance reporting tools to track and communicate AI compliance status to stakeholders.
  • Facilitate training and awareness programs regarding responsible AI practices.

What you bring.

  • 6–10 years of professional experience in technology, data, or model governance.
  • Deep understanding of AI regulatory frameworks and global compliance standards.
  • Proven expertise in AI lifecycle management and risk mitigation strategies.
  • Hands-on experience with ISO/IEC 42001 and NIST AI Risk Management Frameworks.
  • Familiarity with CBUAE AI/ML guidelines and other relevant financial sector regulations.
  • Proficiency in using AI lifecycle platforms and specialized governance reporting tools.
  • Strong analytical skills with the ability to translate complex regulatory requirements into actionable technical controls.
  • Excellent communication skills to engage with technical and non-technical stakeholders.
