About the role.
We are seeking a seasoned Procurement and Supply Chain Management Lead to oversee critical project logistics and equipment delivery in Ahmedabad. This role is pivotal in ensuring that complex supply chains remain on schedule, mitigating risks associated with long-lead items, and coordinating seamless transitions from manufacturing to site delivery. You will act as a central point of contact for project stakeholders, ensuring operational efficiency and commercial accountability.
What you will do.
- Establish consolidated monitoring processes for procurement, manufacturing, inspection, and delivery across all project packages.
- Identify and mitigate risks related to long-lead and critical-path equipment, including vendor capacity and logistics constraints.
- Coordinate recovery and expediting actions with package SCM resources, contractors, and OEMs.
- Interface with quality assurance teams to track inspection release status and ensure alignment with site delivery schedules.
- Report exceptions regarding delayed equipment, transport restrictions, and critical material availability.
- Provide factual delivery records to support the commercial lead in managing delay or change exposures.
What you bring.
- 10–15 years of professional experience in procurement and supply chain management within large-scale infrastructure or engineering projects.
- Proven expertise in managing long-lead equipment and complex logistics chains.
- Strong understanding of FAT/inspection processes and their impact on project timelines.
- Excellent stakeholder management skills with the ability to coordinate between contractors, OEMs, and internal project teams.
- Proficiency in identifying supply chain risks and implementing effective recovery strategies.
- Ability to work effectively in a full-time office environment based in Ahmedabad.
- Strong analytical skills with a focus on commercial accountability and reporting.
