About the role.
We are seeking an experienced SAP ABAP IS-U Consultant with 4–8 years of hands-on SAP technical experience. The role focuses on designing, developing, and supporting ABAP solutions within the SAP IS-U (Utilities) landscape. You will work closely with functional and business teams to translate requirements into reliable technical solutions across implementation, enhancement, and support projects.
What you will do.
- Design, develop, test, and support SAP ABAP solutions within the IS-U environment.
- Build and maintain RICEF/WRICEF objects including reports, interfaces, conversions, enhancements, forms, and workflows.
- Develop and enhance BAPIs, BADIs, user exits, function modules, IDocs, RFCs, ALV reports, Smart Forms, and Adobe Forms.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions in partnership with IS-U functional consultants.
- Support interfaces and integrations between SAP IS-U and other SAP and non-SAP systems.
- Perform debugging, root-cause analysis, performance tuning, defect fixing, and technical troubleshooting.
- Prepare technical specifications, unit-test documentation, and other development deliverables.
- Support SIT/UAT, deployment, go-live, and post-production activities.
What you bring.
- 4–8 years of SAP ABAP experience with strong hands-on knowledge of IS-U / Utilities.
- Good understanding of ABAP OO, Data Dictionary, Enhancements, BAPIs/BADIs, IDocs, RFCs, and Forms.
- Experience developing and supporting RICEF/WRICEF objects.
- Good debugging and performance optimisation skills.
- Experience in implementation, enhancement, or support projects.
- Strong communication skills and ability to work directly with functional and business teams.
- Nice to have: exposure to SAP S/4HANA, ABAP on HANA, CDS Views, OData, AMDP, or RAP.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related discipline, or equivalent professional experience.
