About the role.
The Legal Associate will play a critical role in supporting the legal department by providing high-quality legal counsel and documentation support. This position involves managing complex legal matters, ensuring regulatory compliance, and collaborating with internal stakeholders to mitigate risks within the financial services sector.
What you will do.
- Draft, review, and negotiate a wide range of commercial and financial agreements.
- Provide legal advice on regulatory compliance and internal policy matters.
- Conduct legal research to support business initiatives and risk management strategies.
- Assist in managing litigation and dispute resolution processes.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure legal requirements are integrated into business operations.
- Monitor changes in legislation and regulatory requirements relevant to the financial services industry.
- Maintain accurate legal documentation and records in accordance with company standards.
What you bring.
- Bachelor of Laws (LL.B.) or equivalent degree from a recognized institution.
- 1–3 years of post-qualification experience in a law firm or the legal department of a financial institution.
- Strong understanding of corporate and financial laws.
- Excellent drafting and analytical skills with high attention to detail.
- Ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to explain complex legal concepts to non-legal stakeholders.
- Proven ability to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.
