About the role.
As an Assistant Vice President – Data Engineer, you will lead the design and implementation of robust data architectures, pipelines, and analytical systems. You will be responsible for ensuring data accuracy, security, and accessibility while collaborating with cross-functional teams to deploy advanced machine learning models. This role requires a strategic mindset to influence decision-making and drive operational effectiveness across the business.
What you will do.
- Build and maintain scalable data architecture pipelines to ensure consistent and reliable data flow.
- Design and implement data warehouses and data lakes capable of handling high-volume, high-velocity data.
- Develop sophisticated processing and analysis algorithms tailored to complex data requirements.
- Collaborate with data scientists to build, deploy, and optimize machine learning models.
- Lead and mentor a team of professionals, setting clear objectives and fostering a high-performance culture.
- Advise stakeholders on complex technical issues and contribute to the development of data policies.
- Identify and mitigate risks while strengthening governance and control frameworks.
- Engage in complex data analysis from multiple sources to solve business problems creatively.
What you bring.
- 8–15 years of professional experience in data engineering or a related field.
- Bachelor’s degree in a relevant discipline.
- Strong proficiency in AWS or other public cloud platforms.
- Advanced SQL skills and a deep understanding of database concepts.
- Proficiency in Core Java or Core Python.
- Hands-on experience with Apache Spark or Databricks.
- Experience with CI/CD pipelines and API development.
- Familiarity with containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Knowledge of visualization tools such as Power BI or Looker.
- Exposure to modern AI development tools.
