About the role.
We are seeking a highly skilled Data Modeling Architect to design and maintain robust enterprise data models. You will play a pivotal role in shaping the data architecture for modern cloud platforms, ensuring data integrity, scalability, and alignment with complex business requirements.
What you will do.
- Design and maintain Enterprise Data Models (EDM) aligned with strategic business objectives.
- Create comprehensive conceptual, logical, and physical data models for enterprise applications and analytics platforms.
- Develop dimensional models including Star and Snowflake schemas to support reporting and analytics.
- Establish master data, reference data, and canonical data models to ensure consistency.
- Define and enforce data standards, naming conventions, and modeling best practices across the organization.
- Collaborate with governance teams to implement metadata management, data lineage, and data quality frameworks.
- Architect data models for modern cloud platforms such as Azure Synapse, Snowflake, Databricks, and AWS Redshift.
- Optimize database structures for performance, scalability, and efficient data retention.
What you bring.
- 9–12 years of professional experience in data architecture and modeling.
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, or a related field.
- Expertise in ER modeling, dimensional modeling, and Data Vault 2.0 methodologies.
- Proficiency in database technologies including SQL Server, Oracle, PostgreSQL, and Snowflake.
- Hands-on experience with cloud analytics platforms like Microsoft Fabric, Azure Synapse, and Databricks.
- Strong knowledge of data governance, metadata management, and data quality frameworks.
- Experience with modeling tools such as ERwin, ER/Studio, or PowerDesigner.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to mentor teams and collaborate with stakeholders.
