About the role.
We are looking for an experienced Android Developer to design, build and maintain high-quality mobile applications using Kotlin, Java and modern Android architecture. You will work closely with product, design and backend teams to deliver responsive, reliable user experiences, including integrations with REST APIs and Bluetooth/BLE connectivity. This is a hybrid role based in Bengaluru, suited to engineers who care about clean architecture and code quality.
What you will do.
- Develop and maintain Android applications using Kotlin and/or Java
- Architect features using MVVM/Clean Architecture principles
- Build modern, responsive UIs with Jetpack Compose and Material Design
- Implement Android Jetpack components such as ViewModel, StateFlow/LiveData, Navigation, Room and WorkManager
- Integrate REST APIs, local data storage, notifications and location services
- Write and maintain unit tests to ensure high code quality
- Collaborate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and track work in Jira or Azure DevOps
- Use Git for version control and participate in code reviews
What you bring.
- 4–8 years of experience in Android application development using Kotlin and/or Java
- Strong understanding of Android application architecture (MVVM/Clean Architecture) and Android Studio
- Experience with Jetpack Compose for modern Android UI development
- Experience with Jetpack components such as ViewModel, StateFlow/LiveData, Navigation, Room and WorkManager
- Good knowledge of Android SDK, Material Design, responsive UI development and Android lifecycle
- Experience with unit testing and maintaining high code quality
- Good understanding of Git and version control systems
- Strong analytical, problem-solving and communication skills
- Experience with Bluetooth/BLE connectivity is an added advantage
