About the role.
We are seeking a highly skilled Senior Backend Java Developer to design and build core backend services for a sophisticated Master Data Management platform. You will be responsible for engineering server-side components that power complex data workflows, including ingestion, processing, and orchestration within a cloud-native environment.
What you will do.
- Design and develop robust backend microservices using Java Spring Boot for core data management functions.
- Build and maintain RESTful APIs to support front-end interfaces and downstream enterprise system integrations.
- Implement complex business logic for data survivorship, conflict resolution, and golden record computation.
- Integrate and manage various AWS cloud services including RDS, S3, SQS, and EKS.
- Develop workflow orchestration for stewardship tasks using AWS Step Functions or similar technologies.
- Enforce security protocols including OAuth2, JWT authentication, and role-based access control.
- Support CI/CD pipelines and containerized deployments using Docker and Kubernetes.
- Collaborate with architects to define technical design and contribute to high-level documentation.
What you bring.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science or a related technical field.
- 10+ years of backend software development experience with at least 7 years focused on Java Spring Boot.
- Strong expertise in microservices architecture, event-driven patterns, and RESTful API design.
- Proficiency in AWS cloud services such as RDS, S3, SQS, Lambda, and EKS.
- Hands-on experience with Spring Data JPA, Spring Security, and Spring Batch.
- Solid understanding of Docker, Kubernetes, and CI/CD tools like Jenkins or GitHub Actions.
- Prior experience working with financial data, securities, or Master Data Management systems is highly preferred.
- Strong problem-solving skills with the ability to optimize JVM performance and database queries.
