About the role.
We are seeking a hands-on Senior Security Engineer to serve as the primary point of triage and remediation for security alerts and vulnerabilities. You will work closely with leadership and infrastructure teams to manage email security, phishing simulations, and technical configuration audits. This role is essential for maintaining the integrity of the organization's security posture through proactive monitoring and threat mitigation.
What you will do.
- Serve as the primary triage point for escalated MDR alerts.
- Monitor and respond to email security alerts including malware, spam, and policy violations.
- Investigate employee-reported phishing incidents and drive effective remediation.
- Co-manage web content filtering policies using Microsoft Defender for Cloud Apps.
- Administer and tune email security configurations to optimize threat detection.
- Own the end-to-end execution of phishing simulation campaigns.
- Triage penetration test and vulnerability scan findings, tracking them through to closure.
- Audit security configurations and IT posture against the target state.
- Identify and flag configuration drift and security posture gaps.
What you bring.
- 6-10 years of experience in security engineering, operations, or a SOC environment.
- Hands-on expertise with the Microsoft Defender suite, including Endpoint, Office 365, and Cloud Apps.
- Strong understanding of IT and security fundamentals, specifically email flows, networking, and identity and access management.
- Proven ability to work effectively across email, endpoint, identity, and cloud security domains.
- Analytical and investigative mindset with strong problem-solving capabilities.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Ability to work onsite in Goregaon East, Mumbai, 5 days a week.
