About the role.

This role focuses on manual-testing-first quality assurance for web applications and APIs, complemented by hands-on Playwright automation. You will work in an Agile delivery model, collaborating directly with developers and product owners to ensure releases meet functional and quality expectations. The position is hybrid, with three days per week in the client office in Bengaluru / Chennai.

  • Develop and maintain automated test scripts using Playwright with Node.js and TypeScript
  • Log, track and manage defects through JIRA, working closely with developers to drive resolution
  • Participate in Agile/Scrum ceremonies and contribute to sprint planning, reviews and retrospectives
  • Collaborate with product owners to clarify requirements and validate acceptance criteria
  • Contribute to test strategy and STLC best practices across the delivery lifecycle

What you bring.

  • Strong manual testing skills for web applications, including test design, execution and defect management
  • Hands-on API testing experience with Postman/REST, including JSON payload and status-code validation
  • Hands-on Playwright experience with Node.js and TypeScript (not just framework awareness)
  • Working knowledge of Java scripting
  • Solid understanding of Agile/Scrum, STLC and JIRA
  • Good to have: SQL, Git, CI/CD exposure (Jenkins / Azure DevOps / GitHub Actions), Selenium, Cypress or Rest Assured, and BFSI/payments domain experience
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science/Engineering or equivalent
