About the role.
This role is for an experienced and proactive Product Owner specializing in the airport domain. You will be responsible for owning the product backlog, prioritizing features, and driving requirement documentation. The position involves coordinating with cross-functional teams to ensure successful delivery and enhance user experience and solution value.
What you will do.
- Own and manage the product backlog, ensuring clear prioritization aligned with business goals and stakeholder expectations.
- Translate business requirements into detailed Business Requirement Documents (BRD) and user stories for Agile development teams.
- Collaborate closely with business stakeholders, development teams, and QA to ensure requirements are well understood and implemented effectively.
- Lead User Acceptance Testing (UAT) activities, facilitate defect triage, and ensure timely sign-off on deliverables.
- Develop and execute adoption and change management plans to ensure smooth solution rollout and user acceptance.
- Deeply understand airport operations, processes, and regulatory environment to provide domain insights and influence product strategy.
- Act as a bridge between business and technology teams to ensure product aligns with customer needs and industry best practices.
- Monitor product development lifecycle and progress, proactively identifying and mitigating risks.
- Drive continuous improvement by gathering feedback and analyzing product usage to enhance features and functionalities.
- Facilitate Agile ceremonies as needed and ensure alignment with Agile methodologies and project management best practices.
What you bring.
- Proven experience as a Product Owner managing end-to-end backlog ownership, prioritization, and user story development.
- Strong knowledge of the Airport domain including operations, passenger processing, baggage handling, and regulatory compliance.
- Experience in writing clear and comprehensive BRDs and user stories.
- Hands-on involvement in UAT coordination, defect management, and final deliverable sign-offs.
- Ability to plan and execute adoption strategies to drive user engagement and product success.
- Excellent stakeholder management and communication skills to liaise with technical teams and business users.
- Familiarity with Agile frameworks and tools such as Jira, Confluence, or similar.
- Strong analytical skills with a problem-solving mindset and attention to detail.
- Experience working in large-scale enterprise or airport IT transformation projects is a plus.
- Certifications such as CSPO (Certified Scrum Product Owner) or PMI-ACP will be an added advantage.
