About the role.
We are looking for a Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize scalable data platforms and analytics solutions. You will collaborate with cross-functional teams to develop robust ETL/ELT pipelines and data models that drive business intelligence and decision-making. This role is ideal for a technical leader who enjoys solving complex data challenges in a cloud-native environment.
What you will do.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ETL/ELT workflows.
- Build and manage data transformation frameworks using dbt.
- Develop high-performance data models and optimize complex SQL queries.
- Implement data ingestion and integration processes from multiple data sources.
- Leverage AWS services to build and maintain cloud-native data solutions.
- Ensure data quality, governance, security, and compliance across all platforms.
- Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into technical solutions.
- Monitor and troubleshoot production data pipelines to ensure reliability and performance.
- Mentor junior team members and participate in code reviews and architectural discussions.
What you bring.
- 8+ years of hands-on experience in data engineering and analytics.
- Advanced proficiency in SQL development and performance tuning.
- Strong experience in developing and maintaining dbt projects.
- Hands-on expertise with AWS services including S3, Glue, Lambda, Redshift, and Athena.
- Strong development experience using Python for data engineering and automation.
- Knowledge of data warehousing concepts, dimensional modeling, and workflow orchestration tools like Airflow.
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead technical discussions and stakeholder workshops.
