About the role.
This role focuses on the full build and delivery lifecycle for software products, ensuring seamless installation, patching, and upgrade experiences. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to automate installer workflows and maintain robust deployment pipelines. The position is based in Hyderabad and requires a strong background in Windows installer technologies and CI/CD automation.
What you will do.
- Build, develop, and maintain Windows installer packages using WiX Toolset and related technologies.
- Implement custom installer logic using C#, WiX custom actions, and extensions.
- Develop and manage MSI, MSP, and Burn/Bootstrapper packages.
- Ensure installers align with product versioning, compatibility, and Windows deployment guidelines.
- Develop automated validation workflows for installer testing using C#, PowerShell, or Python.
- Maintain installer-related build and release processes within Azure DevOps pipelines.
- Manage packaging, code-signing workflows, artifact storage, and deployment automation.
- Troubleshoot pipeline failures and support release engineering for high-quality product builds.
What you bring.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field.
- 5+ years of hands-on experience in Windows installer development.
- Strong expertise with WiX Toolset, including MSI, MSBuild, and Burn/Bootstrapper.
- Deep knowledge of Windows OS internals, including registry, services, drivers, and permissions.
- Proficiency in debugging using MSI logs, Windows Event Viewer, and standard diagnostic tools.
- Experience with code-signing workflows, including certificates and timestamping.
- Strong scripting skills in PowerShell or Python for automation tasks.
- Proven experience managing CI/CD pipelines in Azure DevOps.
