About the role.
The Lead Full Stack Engineer will design, develop and continuously improve software that delivers business, platform and technology capabilities. The role combines hands-on engineering with technical leadership, guiding direction for a team of specialists and collaborating with product, design and engineering peers to ensure solutions are scalable, secure and aligned with business objectives. The position is hybrid and based in Chennai.
What you will do.
- Design, develop and deliver high-quality, scalable and maintainable software solutions using modern programming languages, frameworks and tools
- Collaborate with product managers, designers and engineers to define requirements, devise solution strategies and ensure seamless integration
- Lead code reviews and promote a culture of code quality, knowledge sharing and technical excellence
- Apply secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data
- Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure code reliability, readability and proper design
- Stay current with industry technology trends and contribute to internal technology communities
- Lead multiple Agile engineering teams, planning resources and guiding technical direction
- Advise senior stakeholders on cross-functional impact and manage risk through strong controls and governance
What you bring.
- Strong expertise in Java, Spring Boot, microservices and REST APIs
- Experience with React or Angular and modern UI frameworks
- In-depth understanding of Kubernetes, OpenShift or similar container platforms
- Demonstrated ability to lead multiple Agile engineering teams
- Strong analytical, communication and stakeholder engagement skills
- Experience with cloud-aligned engineering and enterprise integration (desirable)
- Exposure to US Payments, including ACH, wire flows and processing behaviours (highly valued)
- Experience working with globally distributed teams (highly valued)
