SYMPHONI HR is partnering with them to identify experienced risk professionals for their Mumbai practice.
About the role.
The Senior Associate will work on Non-Financial Risk engagements spanning Enterprise Risk Management, Operational Risk, Third-Party Risk, Risk Appetite, Operational Resilience and risk governance for financial services clients. The role involves independently executing assessments, framework reviews and gap analyses, and translating findings into clear, actionable recommendations. Working in a hybrid model, the individual will also engage directly with client stakeholders, lead workshops and guide junior team members.
What you will do.
- Execute engagements across ERM, ORM, TPRM, Risk Appetite / RAS, Risk Culture, Operational Resilience, RCSA, KRIs, incident/loss management, emerging risks and risk governance
- Independently perform assessments, benchmarking, framework and policy reviews, gap assessments and recommendations
- Rapidly understand new businesses, processes and risk areas and convert analysis into clear insights
- Develop high-quality client presentations, reports and deliverables
- Interact independently with client stakeholders and lead discussions and workshops
- Guide and review the work of junior team members
- Support engagement management, including workplans, timelines and deliverable tracking
- Contribute to proposals, pursuits, research and solution development
What you bring.
- 2-7 years of experience in Risk Consulting, Risk Advisory or Financial Services, with a preference for candidates from banks
- Meaningful experience across at least three Non-Financial Risk areas such as ERM, ORM, TPRM, RCSA, KRIs or Operational Resilience
- Strong understanding of risk, controls and governance
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to quickly learn unfamiliar risk topics
- Strong written and verbal communication skills
- Good PowerPoint and Excel skills
- Strong consulting mindset with the ability to manage multiple priorities in an ambiguous, fast-paced environment
- CA, MBA or equivalent relevant qualification preferred; prior bank or Financial Services risk function experience is a plus
