About the role.

What you will do.

  • Define and maintain the overall test strategy covering automated, manual, functional, integration, regression, end-to-end, performance, resilience and UAT testing.

  • Lead the design, development and maintenance of test automation frameworks across API, integration and UI layers.
  • Integrate automated testing into CI/CD pipelines and promote quality engineering best practices.
  • Evaluate and leverage AI-assisted testing tools to improve coverage, defect detection and productivity.
  • Create and manage test plans, test cases, scenarios and execution schedules.
  • Manage the defect lifecycle, ensuring issues are logged, prioritised, tracked and resolved.
  • Provide quality reporting and release sign-off recommendations, highlighting risks and outstanding defects.
  • Collaborate with Product Managers, Engineers, Business Analysts and Operations teams to improve product quality and testability.

What you bring.

  • Strong background in software testing, quality engineering and test automation.
  • Ability to define and implement test strategies across platforms.
  • Experience with test automation, API testing and CI/CD practices.
  • Experience with Azure DevOps, Azure Pipelines and modern quality engineering tooling.
  • Agile delivery experience.
  • Typically 8–12 years of relevant experience.
  • Desirable: banking, payments or transaction-processing experience.
  • Desirable: hands-on experience with Playwright, xUnit/NUnit, C#/.NET, TypeScript, REST and SOAP services, SQL, NoSQL or Cosmos DB.
  • Desirable: experience with AI-assisted testing tools and performance testing tools such as K6 or JMeter.
  • Desirable: ISTQB or ISEB certification.
