About the role.
The Vice President will lead trade support and operations for the Asia Equity Derivatives business, ensuring accurate, timely and controlled processing across the trade life cycle. The role oversees reconciliations, exception management and risk controls while partnering with front office, technology and control functions. The successful candidate will also manage and develop a team, driving process efficiency through automation and data tools.
What you will do.
- Oversee end-to-end trade support and operations for Asia equity derivatives, including structured products
- Manage the complete trade life cycle from booking and confirmation through settlement and reporting
- Ensure timely and accurate reconciliation between internal systems and with external counterparties
- Own risk management and exception handling, escalating and resolving breaks effectively
- Lead, coach and develop a team of operations professionals across the region
- Partner with front office, technology, compliance and control teams to resolve issues and enhance processes
- Drive process improvement and automation initiatives using AI tools, Alteryx and Python
- Ensure adherence to regulatory requirements, internal policies and audit standards
What you bring.
- 12 to 20 years of experience in investment banking operations with a focus on equity derivatives
- Strong technical understanding of equity products, including structured products
- In-depth knowledge of the complete trade life cycle for equity products
- Hands-on experience in trade support and reconciliation between systems
- Proven people management experience with the ability to lead and motivate teams
- Working knowledge of AI tools, Alteryx and Python is preferred
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Excellent communication, organisational, conflict management and analytical problem-solving skills
