About the role.
We are seeking an experienced Software Engineer at the Assistant Vice President level to design, develop, and improve mission-critical software solutions. Based in Pune with a hybrid work model, this role involves leveraging modern engineering methodologies and distributed technologies to build scalable, high-performance platforms. You will collaborate closely with cross-functional teams, mentor peers, and play a pivotal role in driving technical excellence and risk management.
What you will do.
- Develop and deliver high-quality, scalable, maintainable, and performance-optimized software solutions using industry-aligned programming languages, frameworks, and tools.
- Collaborate cross-functional with product managers, designers, and other engineers to define software requirements, devise solution strategies, and ensure seamless integration with business objectives.
- Engage with peers through code reviews to promote a culture of code quality, technical knowledge sharing, and engineering best practices.
- Stay informed of emerging technology trends and innovations, actively contributing to the organization’s technology communities.
- Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities, protect sensitive data, and deliver robust software solutions.
- Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure proper code design, readability, and reliability.
- Consult on complex technical issues, providing expert advice to people leaders to support the resolution of escalated challenges.
- Identify ways to mitigate risk and develop new policies or procedures in support of the control and governance agenda.
- Engage in complex data analysis from multiple internal and external sources to solve problems creatively and effectively.
- Communicate complex information clearly and influence stakeholders across the organization to achieve key strategic outcomes.
What you bring.
- 8–14 years of professional software engineering experience within a complex technical environment.
- Strong development expertise in Java, Spring Boot, and distributed technologies.
- Hands-on experience with cloud infrastructure, specifically AWS Cloud, Kubernetes, Kafka, and Spark.
- Skilled in DevOps practices, CI/CD pipelines, automation, testing frameworks, and modern engineering toolchains across SQL and NoSQL environments.
- Demonstrated strength in stakeholder engagement, effective communication, and driving high-quality delivery in agile environments.
- Added exposure to big data technologies and advanced application design.
- Strong debugging, analytical, and structured problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage parallel streams of work and collaborate effectively within a hybrid work model.
