About the role.
The Senior System Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining robust IT infrastructure within a hybrid cloud environment. This role focuses on ensuring high availability, performance, and security while driving automation and operational efficiency. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to support the deployment of critical applications and mentor junior staff.
What you will do.
- Architect and manage scalable server infrastructure and virtualization platforms.
- Monitor system performance and troubleshoot complex technical issues to minimize downtime.
- Automate routine operational tasks using scripting languages like Python or Bash.
- Implement and maintain security protocols, backups, and disaster recovery strategies.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to deploy new applications and system upgrades.
- Manage configuration management tools to ensure infrastructure consistency.
- Maintain and optimize CI/CD pipelines to support DevOps workflows.
What you bring.
- 5-7 years of experience in system administration or infrastructure engineering.
- Deep expertise in Linux and Windows Server administration.
- Hands-on experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency in containerization technologies like Docker and Kubernetes.
- Strong understanding of networking concepts including TCP/IP, DNS, and load balancing.
- Proven ability to manage configuration management tools like Ansible.
- Bachelor degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
- Relevant certifications such as RHCE, AWS Certified Solutions Architect, or Microsoft Certified: Azure Administrator are highly preferred.
- Familiarity with monitoring tools like Prometheus, Grafana, or ELK stack.
