About the role.
This Assistant Vice President level role focuses on designing, developing and delivering secure, scalable and resilient web applications that power customer journey solutions. You will combine hands-on engineering with technical oversight, project delivery ownership and leadership of a high-performing engineering team. The role is central to driving engineering excellence through modern architecture, automation, CI/CD and operational best practices.
What you will do.
- Design, develop and deliver high-quality, scalable and performant software solutions using React, JavaScript/TypeScript and modern frameworks.
- Lead solution design, code reviews and architecture governance to ensure maintainable, secure and well-tested code.
- Build accessible, responsive web solutions and component libraries using Node-based build tooling.
- Collaborate with product owners, solution architects, security, platform and QA teams to define requirements and deliver integrated digital solutions.
- Drive adoption of CI/CD pipelines, automated testing, DevSecOps practices and release automation.
- Mentor and coach engineers through feedback, performance management and career development planning.
- Ensure compliance with enterprise security, risk, governance and regulatory requirements.
- Champion observability, reliability engineering and operational excellence across the platform.
What you bring.
- 8 to 18 years of professional software engineering experience, including building production services or distributed systems.
- Strong proficiency in React, JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, CSS and Node-based tooling.
- Hands-on experience with AWS, Google Cloud, Docker and Kubernetes.
- Experience designing and consuming RESTful APIs and managing integration contracts.
- Working knowledge of authentication, authorization and identity management, including PING ID.
- Experience with DevOps tooling such as GitLab, Terraform, Ansible, Helm and Datadog.
- Proficiency in Java and secure coding practices; understanding of application architecture and dependency management.
- Proven ability to lead and develop engineering teams and communicate technical decisions clearly across teams and time zones.
