About the role.
This senior leadership role is responsible for leading and managing engineering teams to deliver high-quality, scalable software solutions. The Engineering Manager - Vice President will provide technical direction, mentor talent, drive engineering excellence and align technology decisions with business objectives. The role works closely with product, design and business stakeholders, and operates within a hybrid model based in Pune.
What you will do.
- Lead and grow high-performing engineering teams, fostering a collaborative and innovative culture that delivers project and organisational goals.
- Oversee delivery timelines, team allocation, risk management and task prioritisation to ensure solutions are delivered within scope, time and budget.
- Mentor engineers, conduct performance reviews, provide actionable feedback and support professional development.
- Evaluate and enhance engineering processes, tools and methodologies to improve efficiency and team productivity.
- Translate business requirements into technical solutions in partnership with product managers, designers and other stakeholders.
- Define and drive technical vision and architecture roadmaps for scalable, maintainable, operationally ready systems.
- Enforce technology standards, facilitate peer reviews and implement robust testing and quality engineering practices.
- Advise senior management on cross-functional impact, manage risks and strengthen controls and governance.
- Champion Agile values and embed DevSecOps practices into delivery workflows.
What you bring.
- Proven experience leading engineering teams and driving technical leadership and architecture at scale.
- Deep technical expertise in Java and AWS services.
- Experience designing and optimising deployment pipelines, release strategies and test automation for high-quality delivery.
- Strong background in Agile delivery and DevSecOps integration, including coaching and facilitating ceremonies.
- Demonstrated ability to coach, mentor and build psychologically safe, growth-oriented teams.
- Strong organisational influence, stakeholder management and communication skills.
- Sophisticated analytical and problem-solving ability, with strong risk and controls awareness.
- Desirable: experience with AWS Connect and serverless technologies.
