About the role.
This leadership role is responsible for overseeing the Financial Crime Compliance framework within the organization. You will lead strategic initiatives to mitigate risks related to money laundering, sanctions, and fraud while ensuring alignment with global regulatory requirements. The position involves close collaboration with senior stakeholders to drive compliance excellence and maintain the firm's robust risk management posture.
What you will do.
- Lead and manage the Financial Crime Compliance function to ensure adherence to global and local regulatory standards.
- Develop and implement comprehensive policies and procedures to mitigate money laundering, terrorist financing, and sanctions risks.
- Provide expert guidance and advisory support to business units on complex financial crime matters.
- Oversee the monitoring and investigation of suspicious activities and ensure timely regulatory reporting.
- Manage relationships with regulatory bodies and internal audit teams to ensure transparency and compliance.
- Drive the implementation of advanced compliance technologies and automated monitoring systems.
- Lead, mentor, and develop a high-performing team of compliance professionals.
- Conduct regular risk assessments to identify emerging threats and adjust compliance strategies accordingly.
What you bring.
- 12–18 years of professional experience in financial crime compliance within the banking or financial services industry.
- Deep knowledge of global AML, KYC, and sanctions regulations.
- Proven track record of leading large teams and managing complex compliance programs.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex regulatory requirements into actionable business strategies.
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills, with the ability to influence senior leadership.
- Professional certification in AML or related compliance fields is highly preferred.
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively in a hybrid work environment.
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Law, Finance, Business, or a related field.
