About the role.
We are seeking an experienced Batch Operations Lead to oversee critical batch processing environments and ensure the stability of complex software ecosystems. You will be responsible for managing end-to-end batch incidents, performing root cause analysis, and driving efficiency through tool development and capacity planning. This role is pivotal in maintaining high availability and performance for mission-critical business applications.
What you will do.
- Manage end-to-end batch incidents and coordinate with application development and operational support teams
- Perform impact analysis and root cause analysis for job failures and abends
- Monitor critical milestone completion timelines and track deviations to ensure business continuity
- Develop and maintain comprehensive batch runbooks and review audit trails
- Drive efficiency by analyzing resource utilization, CPU consumption patterns, and batch dependencies
- Lead the development and adoption of internal tools and dashboards to optimize batch performance
- Coordinate and execute DR/BCP planning, isolation tests, and platform-related upgrades
- Handle batch escalations and provide leadership communication regarding status and KPIs
What you bring.
- Minimum of 7 years of experience in batch operations and incident management
- Strong expertise in Mainframe and Distributed Systems environments
- Proficiency in batch scheduling tools such as ESP, Autosys, and Comet
- Proven experience in capacity planning, dashboarding, and tool development
- Solid understanding of DR/BCP planning and execution
- Ability to perform audit trail reviews and manage access entitlements
- Excellent communication skills with the ability to lead cross-functional collaborations
- Strong analytical mindset for identifying and implementing process improvements
