About the role.
As an Infrastructure Engineer, you will be responsible for building and maintaining robust network platforms that ensure the reliability, scalability, and security of our client's digital infrastructure. You will leverage software engineering techniques and automation to optimize network performance and streamline incident response. This role is pivotal in driving technical excellence and ensuring seamless integration across the enterprise.
What you will do.
- Design, deliver, and maintain high-quality infrastructure solutions to meet evolving business requirements.
- Monitor IT infrastructure and system performance to proactively identify and resolve potential outages or vulnerabilities.
- Develop and implement automated tasks and processes using scripting to improve operational efficiency.
- Implement secure configurations to protect hardware, software, and data against cyber threats.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with architects and product managers to define infrastructure requirements.
- Lead and guide team members, fostering professional development and coordinating resource allocation.
- Manage risk and strengthen controls in alignment with regulatory standards and internal policies.
- Drive continuous improvement by analyzing data to reduce mean time to resolution for incidents.
What you bring.
- Strong foundation in network fundamentals including routing, switching, WAN, SD-WAN, wireless, and edge services.
- Proven experience in incident, problem, and change management within an enterprise environment.
- Proficiency in scripting and automation tools such as Python and Ansible.
- Understanding of hybrid and cloud connectivity concepts and operational tooling.
- Experience with monitoring, alerting, and service health improvement initiatives.
- Ability to make evaluative judgments based on technical analysis and experience.
- Strong communication skills with the ability to influence stakeholders and guide team members.
- Awareness of risk and control requirements in highly regulated environments.
