About the role.
This role involves designing, developing, and maintaining robust software solutions that support critical business and platform capabilities. You will focus on application and platform migrations to cloud-native environments, ensuring high availability, disaster recovery, and operational readiness. The position requires a strong emphasis on secure coding, performance optimization, and cross-functional collaboration to meet complex business objectives.
What you will do.
- Design and deliver high-quality, scalable, and maintainable software solutions using industry-standard programming languages.
- Plan and execute application and platform migrations to OpenShift with a focus on business continuity and disaster recovery.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including product managers, SRE, network, and security stakeholders to ensure seamless integration.
- Implement effective unit testing practices to ensure code reliability and performance.
- Adhere to secure coding practices to mitigate vulnerabilities and protect sensitive data.
- Manage risk and strengthen controls in alignment with organizational policies and regulatory requirements.
- Provide technical guidance and mentorship to team members to foster a culture of technical excellence.
- Identify and resolve complex technical problems by applying acquired expertise and analytical judgment.
What you bring.
- 4–8 years of professional experience in software engineering.
- Hands-on experience configuring and maintaining Kubernetes environments, including OpenShift, EKS, or AKS.
- Proficiency in developing software using Python or Golang.
- Strong experience with Docker, containers, and cloud-native utilities.
- Solid understanding of Business Continuity Planning (BCP) and Disaster Recovery (DR) principles.
- Proven experience in SRE practices and managing risk and controls within a technical environment.
- Ability to bridge the gap between application teams and platform infrastructure stakeholders.
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to make evaluative judgments based on factual information.
