About the role.
Join our client as a Senior DevOps Engineer, where you will play a pivotal role in designing, developing, and implementing solutions to complex business problems. You will be instrumental in evolving infrastructure and deployment pipelines, driving innovation and operational excellence. This hybrid role involves harnessing cutting-edge technology to build and manage robust, scalable, and secure infrastructure, ensuring seamless delivery of digital solutions while balancing technology risks against business delivery.
What you will do.
- Design and develop solutions as evolving products, meeting business requirements aligned with modern software engineering practices and automated delivery tooling.
- Conduct targeted design activities applying appropriate workload placement strategies and maximizing cloud capabilities like elasticity, serverless, and containerization.
- Implement best practice designs incorporating security principles such as defence in depth and reduction of blast radius, meeting resiliency expectations.
- Balance risks and controls to deliver agreed business and technology value through solution designs.
- Support operational teams with fault finding and performance issues, leveraging available tooling.
- Assess solution design impact in terms of risk, capacity, and cost, including estimation of project change and ongoing run costs.
- Develop requisite architecture inputs for governance processes, including design artefacts for architecture, privacy, security, and records management.
- Contribute to or set strategy, drive requirements, and make recommendations for change, planning resources, budgets, and policies.
- Advise key stakeholders, including functional leadership teams and senior management, on functional and cross-functional areas of impact and alignment.
- Manage and mitigate risks through assessment, supporting the control and governance agenda.
What you bring.
- 12–18 years of experience leading DevOps for enterprise platforms, with proven delivery of scalable, automated, and resilient environments.
- Hands-on expertise in deploying DLT platforms (e.g., Hyperledger Besu), node infrastructure, and blockchain environments across multiple regions or entities.
- Experience with wallet infrastructure, key management, and secure transaction signing ecosystems.
- Strong capability in deploying and operating Java-based microservices and APIs using Kubernetes/OpenShift and container platforms.
- Expertise in CI/CD, IaC, automation, and DevOps tooling (Helm, Jenkins, GitHub, etc.).
- Strong understanding of security, compliance, and operational controls for regulated digital assets platforms.
- Demonstrated ability to create solutions based on sophisticated analytical thought, comparing and selecting complex alternatives.
- Experience in building and maintaining trusting relationships and partnerships with internal and external stakeholders, using influencing and negotiating skills.
