About the role.

The Process Expert will play a pivotal role in driving process development and optimization initiatives within a manufacturing environment. This position focuses on the scale-up and commercialization of advanced chemical processes, specifically within the battery materials domain. You will be responsible for managing pilot plant operations and ensuring that manufacturing designs meet the highest standards of efficiency and quality.

What you will do.

  • Lead the development and optimization of chemical manufacturing processes to enhance production efficiency.
  • Oversee the scale-up and commercialization of new processes from laboratory to industrial production.
  • Manage pilot plant operations, ensuring seamless execution of experimental trials and process validation.
  • Design and implement manufacturing process improvements using Design of Experiments (DOE) and Six Sigma methodologies.
  • Utilize process simulation and modelling tools to predict and improve plant performance.
  • Ensure all processes comply with established Quality Management Systems and safety standards.
  • Coordinate with cross-functional teams to integrate new technologies into existing production lines.
  • Maintain accurate documentation and reporting using SAP/ERP systems and data visualization tools like Power BI.

What you bring.

  • Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering or a related field.
  • Proven experience in battery material manufacturing processes, including cathode and anode material processing.
  • Strong expertise in process development, optimization, and scale-up within the chemical industry.
  • Proficiency in process simulation software and advanced data analysis using Microsoft Excel and Power BI.
  • Solid understanding of Lean Manufacturing principles and Quality Management Systems.
  • Demonstrated ability to manage complex projects and lead pilot plant operations.
  • Excellent problem-solving skills with a track record of applying Design of Experiments (DOE) in industrial settings.
  • Experience working with SAP or other ERP systems for process management.
