About the role.

We are seeking a highly skilled Project Instrumentation and Controls Engineer to lead the design, implementation, and commissioning of complex automation systems for large-scale industrial projects. Based in Baroda, you will serve as the primary technical point of contact, ensuring that all control architectures meet rigorous safety, efficiency, and regulatory standards throughout the project lifecycle.

What you will do.

  • Lead the end-to-end design and engineering of instrumentation and control systems including P&IDs, loop diagrams, and control narratives.
  • Manage technical documentation, vendor specifications, and procurement schedules for field instruments and control hardware.
  • Oversee site installation, loop checking, and system commissioning to ensure seamless integration with existing plant infrastructure.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot complex control logic and resolve technical bottlenecks during project execution.
  • Ensure all control system designs comply with international safety and regulatory standards.
  • Coordinate with external vendors and internal stakeholders to maintain project timelines and budget requirements.

What you bring.

  • Bachelor of Engineering or Technology in Instrumentation, Electronics, or Electrical Engineering.
  • 10–12 years of experience in instrumentation and control engineering within the oil, gas, power, or chemical sectors.
  • Proficiency in configuring and programming Distributed Control Systems (DCS) and Programmable Logic Controllers (PLC).
  • Strong understanding of international standards such as ISA, IEC, and NEC regarding hazardous area classifications.
  • Proven ability to manage project timelines, budgets, and technical deliverables in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience with Safety Instrumented Systems (SIS) and SIL certification is highly preferred.
  • Familiarity with SCADA systems and industrial communication protocols like Modbus, Profibus, or Foundation Fieldbus.
  • Professional certifications such as PMP or TUV functional safety certification are highly preferred.
