About the role.
We are seeking a Lead Snowflake Developer to spearhead the growth and strategy of a high-performing Data & AI Centre of Excellence. This role involves defining architectural standards, driving delivery governance, and providing expert consulting to clients on modern cloud data platforms.
What you will do.
- Build and scale Snowflake capabilities including architecture, engineering, governance, and FinOps.
- Define reference architectures, reusable assets, and technical accelerators for enterprise-scale programs.
- Lead end-to-end solution architecture for data warehousing, Lakehouse, and modern data stack implementations.
- Establish and enforce standards for delivery quality, security, and performance optimization.
- Partner with clients to define data strategies, roadmaps, and transformation journeys.
- Mentor architects and engineers while fostering internal communities of practice.
- Drive account growth through innovation-led proposals and executive-level consulting.
- Oversee delivery KPIs, cost optimization, and the adoption of CI/CD and DataOps practices.
What you bring.
- 8–10 years of overall experience in data engineering, analytics, or data platform roles.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in Snowflake with strong architecture and delivery expertise.
- Deep expertise in Snowflake features including Snowpipe, Streams & Tasks, Dynamic Tables, and Secure Sharing.
- Proven experience in data modeling techniques such as Dimensional, Data Vault, or Lakehouse architectures.
- Strong proficiency in ELT/ETL pipelines and orchestration tools like ADF, Airflow, or dbt.
- Hands-on experience in client-facing consulting roles and complex solution design.
- Solid understanding of data governance, security, RBAC, and performance tuning.
- Experience working within major cloud ecosystems such as Azure, AWS, or GCP.
