About the role.
We are looking for a Senior Python Backend Developer to join a dynamic data engineering team in Mumbai. You will be responsible for architecting robust data pipelines and optimizing complex backend systems to support large-scale data infrastructure. This role offers the opportunity to work on high-performance systems and contribute to the evolution of our client's data ecosystem.
What you will do.
- Design, develop, and maintain scalable backend services using Python and Django.
- Conduct deep-dive performance tuning to enhance system efficiency and reduce latency.
- Create and document secure, high-performance APIs to facilitate seamless data integration.
- Architect and implement robust data pipelines to support large-scale infrastructure.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure data integrity and system reliability.
- Optimize existing backend systems to improve overall throughput and scalability.
What you bring.
- 6–8 years of professional experience in Python backend development.
- Strong proficiency in the Django framework.
- Advanced SQL skills with a deep understanding of data modeling principles.
- Proven expertise in performance tuning for large-scale distributed systems.
- Experience with big data technologies including Hadoop, Spark, and Informatica.
- Familiarity with Snowflake and cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
- Proficiency in CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Apache Airflow.
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
