About the role.

We are seeking a highly skilled Data Engineer to design and optimize enterprise-scale data platforms with a focus on semantic layer architecture. You will be responsible for building governed, business-friendly data models that enable self-service analytics and ensure a single source of truth across the organization. This role requires a deep understanding of Snowflake and the ability to translate complex business requirements into scalable data solutions.

What you will do.

  • Design, develop, and maintain scalable data pipelines and ELT/ETL processes within the Snowflake Data Cloud.
  • Architect and manage enterprise semantic models to provide consistent business metrics and KPIs.
  • Optimize Snowflake performance through advanced query tuning, clustering, and warehouse sizing.
  • Implement dimensional models including Star and Snowflake schemas to support diverse business domains.
  • Integrate semantic layers with BI and visualization tools to enable governed self-service analytics.
  • Establish data quality frameworks, metadata management, and lineage tracking to ensure data integrity.
  • Collaborate with business stakeholders to translate requirements into robust, reusable data structures.
  • Implement security, governance, and access control policies across the data platform.

What you bring.

  • 6–8 years of professional experience in data engineering and data warehousing.
  • Expert-level proficiency in Snowflake Data Cloud and advanced SQL development.
  • Proven experience in designing and implementing semantic layers using tools like dbt, AtScale, or LookML.
  • Strong background in dimensional modeling and ETL/ELT development.
  • Proficiency in Python programming for data pipeline automation.
  • Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or GCP.
  • Familiarity with data governance tools like Collibra, Alation, or Microsoft Purview.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field.
  • SnowPro certification is highly preferred.
